year the teacher will retire. The shop has an in-order shop area and an outside covered work bay large enough for seven cars.

We accept transfers from other schools and give them full credit for their experience.

DUTIES:
Select, evaluate, develop, and teach curriculum for Automotive Technology; assist students in accomplishing skills and in setting and achieving technical and

Certification: must be ASE Certified Master Automotive Service Technician in all areas or be able to pass ASE certification tests during the first six
months.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: working in post-secondary education environment; organizing and prioritizing division workload.
Knowledge of: Idaho post-secondary education policies and procedures.

Job Description: This position reports to the Dean of Careers & Technology and is responsible for recruiting students for both the Ford and General Motors automotive programs at New Mexico Junior College. This position will also become an automotive professor for the General Motors Automotive program after two years of successfully recruiting students to the two corporate automotive programs. Duties and responsibilities shall be, but are not limited to, the following:

The Community College of Philadelphia offers over 70 different degree programs and is one of the largest

The Automotive Service Technology Curriculum leads to an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.
The automotive industry has undergone a parts and service revolution. The increased complexity of the modern automobile
has created a demand for highly skilled, technologically advanced automotive professionals.
The Automotive Service Technology Option prepares students to work as mechanics, safety inspectors and shop
supervisors. The skills courses provide experience with the most modern diagnostic and repair equipment. The
general education courses are transferable to some baccalaureate degree programs in engineering and vocational
education. Graduates are also prepared to take the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence Certification
examinations. This Program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
For this position a:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Field preferred; Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology required
